How is outsourcing American jobs good for the country?

What happens to the security of this nation when we produce nothing. Why have many (not all) conservatives, who promoted buying American products in the 1980′s switched to supporting the outsourcing of American jobs?
We do not really produce anything here anymore. Even Levi’s and Converse are made abroad now.
I can understand how a CEO would prefer to pay lower wages, but how do government policies that allow that CEO to do so help the economy of this wonderful country?

Remember Katrina, FEMA, and Michael Brown and the media attention involving his lack of credentials to do his job. Consider a government-wide practice that routinely pays six figure salaries to political appointees and career bureaucrat financial managers with no 4-year college accounting degrees or CPA certificates. We need to question this time honored practice that costs us untold billions of dollars each year (and now) because this Country's financial security is in peril….
